Tuxedo Extras You Must Include

Monday, November 22nd, 2010

The tuxedo is a very powerful outfit, just ask James Bond. This type of suit is the ultimate piece of formal wear for men. You simply won’t find any other piece of men’s clothing that is more elegant.

People do need to realize however that a tuxedo is nothing without the accessories that go with it. These aren’t things that are nice to have either. They are mandatory items that one must wear to properly don a tux. In this article I’ll go over some of these accessories so you too can wear a tuxedo with style.

Both the tuxedo and it’s accessories have not undergone many large changes since its inception. The tuxedo shirt, cuff links, tuxedo shoes, bow ties, belts, vests, and cummerbunds are all accessories you’ll find to accompany your tuxedo.

The tuxedo shirt is perhaps the most important accessory to wear with your tuxedo. After all you can’t not wear a shirt and not have people notice. Along with white, off white colors like the ivory tuxedo shirt are the most common.

It is not very difficult to decide on a pair of tuxedo shoes to wear. You’ll just need to be sure that you get solid black shoes without fancy designs. It may be best to get shoes that do not have any patterns on them at all. You’ll get an extremely elegant and well polished look from your lack of patterns.

Another classic tuxedo extra is the bow tie. A bow tie can be tricky to tie and therefore many people decide to simply get a clip on bow tie. You’ll find that like everything, it only requires a little patience and practice to get good at tying bow ties. Get a real one and learn how to tie it.

Cuff links and buttons are the essential little details that make the tuxedo so much more elegant than the suit. Get cuff links in either gold or silver and make sure they go well with the shirt color.

Your belt is a simple choice. Just get one that matches the color of your shoes. Don’t buy one that is too long or short for your waist.

The tuxedo vest has become much more popular than the almost obsolete cummerbund. When choosing between a tuxedo vest or cummerbund, it is best to get the tuxedo vest.

Accidental Discovery Of A Superior Travel Clothing Steamer

Monday, July 26th, 2010

Travel steamers are a necessity when traveling unless you’re proceeding on a beach vacation where you invest 805 of your time in a swimsuit. But when you’re traveling for business, an event or even proceeding out for a night on the town, you’ll desire to have your clothing to be wrinkle-free.

Not long ago I met up with a buddy whom was traveling from from Australia. He was proceeding to be in San Francisco for some days, and one evening we were considering proceeding out for a good dinner and a night on the town. We had just spent the day purchasing in Union Square and he observed a rather lovely but incredibly costly shirt from Aldo’s. The shirt was $179.00. It was a nice long sleeved button up shirt. I ended up buying a without straps small black dress to wear out that evening too.

We proceeded to come back to his hotel to get dressed up for our evening out. We stopped by a department shop to pick up a travel steamer in the small appliances department. He truly wanted his new shirt and pants to look fresh and crisp that evening. He had selected just a random hand-held steamer according to selling price alone. He had picked up the Jiffy Esteam steamer but put it back after seeing that the selling price tag was about double the amount as he had wanted to invest. He ended up buying the Smartek garment steamer.

The Smartek garment steamer produced incredibly great results. He was the guinea pig and used the steamer on his new shirt. I thought if the steamer is able to get rid of the wrinkles from his new $179.00 designer shirt, then definitely I could trust it to steam wrinkles from my $30.00 dress. I was amazed at how effective this small travel clothes steamer was at removing wrinkles from my dress and leaving it look as I just pulled it off of the shop rack rather than from being folded up in a purchasing bag for over 3 hours. It was quick and effortless to use too. Particularly since this was equally our first time to every use a clothes steamer.

Some other pretty neat features the Smartek travel steamer has is that it takes away and deodorizes fabrics. It heats up rapidly but it does not get too hot and it won’t scorch your apparel. It’s even sensitive sufficient to use over beading and sequins.

This steamer also provides for a lightweight fabric steamer that could be used on your drapes, bedding and upholstery too.

The typical customer review for this clothes steamer is outstanding with 4 1/2 stars on Amazon.
